GR. 3-9 NUMERACY ASSESSMENT TOOLKIT
The Gr. 3-9 Numeracy Assessment Toolkit was co-developed with educators in our district to support meaningful, responsive assessment aligned with the BC Curriculum. Built around key content areas and mathematical competencies, the toolkit is designed to help make student thinking visible, guide instructional decisions, and promote deep learning across the year.
The toolkit includes:
-
Rich, low floor–high ceiling tasks that integrate content and competencies.
-
Editable, differentiated placemats for assessing learning after practice and exploration.
-
Tools for collecting learning evidence and supporting student reflection.
-
A K-9 Mathematics Content Continuum, outlining key concepts like number sense and computational fluency.
-
A foundational resource on Co-creating the Conditions for Powerful Math Learning, helping you and your students build a shared foundation for meaningful, thriving numeracy experiences in the classroom.
